*  Many people are turning to cheaper methods of powering their vehicles. Biodiesel and vegetable oil are popular choices with diesel engine vehicles; however, there is a downside to this as the use of biodiesel/veg oil results in reduced thermal efficiency and increased smoke and smell.  The saving on cost using “chip” oil bring other issues such as reduced power and lower MPG.  We have tested a diesel engine running on vegetable oil with the hydrogen system installed and the results showed that hydrogen system equipped are more responsive and have more low-down torque.  The HC and CO levels were reduced and the “chip fat” smell disappeared, in addition no smoke was noticed.
